SUPER SECONDS FESTIVAL - Sat 1st October - Sun 2nd October

In a little under a week on Sat 1st October - Sun 2nd October I'll be taking part in the fantastic Super Seconds Festival organised by the fab Ink & Bear! So what is the Super Seconds Festival I hear you ask?! Well "lots of independent makers have seconds, samples, misprints or end of line stock they'd like to see go to a good home for seriously discounted prices!" . Which means this is the perfect opportunity to grab yourself some bargains, help get a head start on the festive shopping or just treat yourself to a bunch of loveliness from your fave indie businesses. With an amazing 250 makers taking part, including myself, there really is something for everyone from prints, pins, jewellery, ceramics, cards and even clothes! There are limited stock numbers so if you want to get a head start, why not pop on over to the Super Seconds website and create a wish list of you favourite makers in advance of the big weekend so on the day you can bargain hunt like a well oiled machine!

Lucky Dip Boxes by Loadofolbobbins showing a selection of pigeon cosplay themed items including a print of a pigeon cosplaying as characters from Labyrinth, a You had me at I like pigeons sticker, a selection of magnets showing a pigeon cosplaying as different superheros and two pins showing a pigeon cosplaying as leia and kiki.

So what will be on offer from Loadofolbobbins over this wonderful weekend? Well as soon as I found out I got a spot at Super Seconds I got my feather duster out and explored the Loadofolbobbins archive to see what delights I could bring you all. Now in my 8th year of business I've accumulated quite an array of old pieces and end of line stock that are the inevitable consequences of creative play over the years. There'll be some Fred the pigeon coosplay classics, lucky dip boxes, original one of kind embroidery pieces and more all at an incredible 50% off! There aren't really any seconds that I'm selling so everything is in tip top condition just waiting for a new home. I'll also be offering 15% off my full priced stock like my 'Birds of a Feather', 'Classic Literature' and 'Suffragette' collections with the code SUPERSECONDS. If however you'd like that discount to jump to 20% on full priced items you just need to sign up to my mailing list before 1st Oct which you can do here.

MARVELLOUS MAKERS CHARITY PRIZE DRAW FOR DEC PAKISTAN FLOODS APPEAL

I love the community spirit and creative atmosphere of online events like this, especially when I usually end up discovering a bunch of lovely new makers to follow, save up my pennies to spend with, or not so subtly hint to family and friends how much I like! One great event earlier in the year I took part in was the Ukraine Appeal Online Charity Market hosted on Tresstle and run by Pedddle, a group of lovely sellers came together and created prize draws and donated a portion of their sales to charities helping relief efforts in Ukraine. With this in mind I decided I wanted to do something similar in the lead up to Super Seconds by creating another prize draw via Just Giving and donating one of my new Robin and Mistletoe necklaces as a prize. I then decided to put a call out to the maker community to see if anyone else wanted to donate a prize and boy they did not disappoint! My fellow Super Seconds sellers, Folksy folk and more donated an incredible array of wonderful pieces that at least 2 lucky winners will receive in mega prize bundles.

HOW TO ENTER

All you have to do to enter is donate on the prize draw Just Giving page here all donations big or small much appreciated. In order to not run foul of licensing laws there is an option to enter for free but I would hope people wouldn't choose this as all this is being done for charity (sadly have had a couple pick this).
