Knot too shabby.....I know, I know but I just couldn't resist the pull of the pun! For my Folksy Friday focus today I've explored the wonderful world of knotted string aka macramé. It's not (accidental pun honest) really an art form I'm particularly familiar with other than the increase of plant hangers that appeared a few years back, and lovely they were too. So it was a wonderful surprise when looking through the glorious depths of Folksy to see what incredible things people have been making using this technique. I do often feel like I'm repeat when I start listing all the amazing types of things people are making but it's true there's incredible wall art, jewellery, accessories galore! So here be those links to the beautiful items above.....
Green Macramé Earrings by Sophie's Handmade Baby Boutique (Love the juxtaposition of two fabulous materials and that lovely bold green)
Macramé Keyring by Twisted Cord Boutique (Beautiful bright red that would be a lovely pop of colour to your keys or a bag!)
As always there's plenty more where that came from on Folksy so do have a bit of explore for yourself and if you want to you can take a peek around my shop. If you'd like to make a suggestion for where I should focus for my next Folksy Fridays or you'd maybe like a bit of an assist with Folksy shopping you canjoin my mailing list here and reply to my welcome e-mail with your suggestions or requests.
